With all these doctor appointments, this was just the beginning. We have had state services rendered for an hour a day four times a week. These services were in the morning. I knew these services were not an option and Elijah needed them so we continued to keep these services. We have enrolled our family in Healthy Families, Southwest Network, Southwest Human Development and many agencies that helped with services for Elijah. It was utterly hell with this schedule.
To add more fuel to the fire, We made an appointment with the OB for his surgery. His first appointment was on June 18th, 2019. Elijah had his first surgery August 15th, 2018 for his circumcision. A successful surgery, thank God. As we enter July of 2019 we had two appointments for his Autism doctor. July 17th, 2019 and July 19th, 2019. Both days they're were tests done for 4 hours to see if Elijah was on the spectrum. No surprise he was. They consider him high functioning autism.
We had a really important appointment coming up this month for his genetics testing. This test is for his extra chromesome and malformalities. This test was done August 29th, 2019. It was so tiring to keep going with minimal help. At this point, we have many serious diagnoses for Elijah. It was heartbreaking for me to see the challenges he may face. He has been through enough. All the diagnoses are : Chronic UTI's {which lead to his circumcision} unspecified disorder of refraction, phimosis, newborn affected by maternal use, newborn affected by exposure, intermittent alternating exotropia, fetal alcoholl syndrome, family history of others congenital, Autism, delayed attachment, amblyopia {lazy eye}, sensory issues, feeding issues. These diagnoses do not include his Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, Speech therapy, sensory therapist and feeding therapist. Above all this there were trips to ER's, urgent cares, second opinions. With this said Elijah has his eye doctor. Since 2019 he has had two eye surgeries and 12 doctor appointments.
